How a focused digital strategy built an online presence in six months
Client: Resilience Group Ltd
Services: Branding, web design and project management, email and comms set-up, marketing strategy, social media set-up, content and scheduling, Google Business Profile
Timeline: Six months
The brief
Resilience Group Ltd is a Bedford-based construction, renovation and demolition company delivering bespoke builds, full remodels and fit-outs — kitchen diners, bathrooms, utility rooms, with particular strength in asbestos removal.
The challenge
A strong local reputation with no digital shop window. The team’s expertise wasn’t reaching the homeowners who needed it most; there was no website to explain what they offered or convert interest into enquiries, and no communication structure behind it. The business had also been let down by marketing suppliers before, so the first job was demonstrating momentum early and proving that this time would be different.
Foundations
- Google Business Profile and Google Workspace set up, giving the company a professional email footprint and local search visibility.
- VoIP local number with redirection to the company mobile, so enquiries land wherever the team is.
- Social channels created, with a full set of brand guidelines and messaging written from scratch.
Within the guidelines I built content pillars mapped directly to each service line, with a colour assigned to each:
| Pillar | Service | Colour |
|---|---|---|
| Trust | Building | Light blue |
| Quality | Carpentry | Orange |
| Safety | Demolition | Vivid red |
| Transparency | Asbestos removal | Green |
| Respect | Fit-outs | Purple |
This gave every post, page and document an obvious home, and made it clear at a glance which part of the business was being talked about. It also surfaced a gap: the existing logo couldn’t carry the system. We redesigned it, with a set of coloured submarks matching each pillar.
Website: concept to launch
The build was outsourced to a Plymouth web design agency. I designed the site structure and concept layouts, mapping what a homeowner needs to see and in what order, wrote all the copy, and project managed delivery end to end, briefing the designers, setting milestones and running client approvals through to launch.

Content and visibility
- A blog strategy opening with future-proofing and ageing-in-place adaptations, positioning the company for homeowners planning ahead rather than just renovating, with a follow-up on planning consent and how not to get caught out
- A repeatable Instagram approach turning live projects into content, including a launch video and kitchen design concept films
- One tone of voice across website and social, so the business reads as the same company everywhere
The result
In six months, a company with no online presence now has a brand system it can run itself, a website that tells its story, a content engine fed by the work it’s already doing, and a position in a niche most local competitors ignore.
Work is still ongoing, with advertising campaigns and local promotion planned for the Autumn.
What this demonstrates
This project shows what strategic digital marketing can achieve on a modest budget and a short timeline. Rather than starting with content, the work started with foundations; a brand system, clear messaging and content pillars tied to the services the business actually sells, so that every post, page and profile pulled in the same direction. Each decision connected back to one business goal: getting the company in front of homeowners at the point they start planning a project, and turning that visibility into enquiries.
